Visualizing heatmaps and spatial point density algorithms for large coordinate datasets?

faisukhan
Hi ImageJ Community,

I am working on a plugin project that involves processing spatial coordinate datasets to visualize point density clusters and heatmaps. We are currently testing different thresholding and Gaussian blur methods to render high-density spatial hubs smoothly without performance lagging.

Outside of biomedical image stacks, consumer mobile platforms heavily rely on similar spatial tiling algorithms. For instance, real-time spatial mapping tools like the Snap Map feature use dynamic clustering and tile rendering to show activity density overlays seamlessly across global maps.

Does anyone have recommendations for optimal ImageJ libraries or ROI color-mapping techniques best suited for handling multi-layer density maps efficiently? Any code snippets or macro pointers would be greatly appreciated!
