HAHA, sorry another "bad" automatism, the message from Lawrence had set
"Please reply to ....." explicitely in the header so that it ended up as a private mail and did not go to the list..... Damn... it was too late when i noticed it JW ----- Weitergeleitet von Joachim Wesner/DEWET/LMSCentral/Leica am 05.08.2009 18:02 ----- Joachim Wesner/DEWET/LMSC entral/Leica An Lawrence B Kramer Living up to Life <[hidden email]> Kopie 05.08.2009 18:01 Thema Antwort: Re: Archive?(Document link: Joachim Wesner) Hi, YEP, I have to second this, thanks for the info and I already knew about the official archive, but I also never noticed this entry! Actually, it is there, but I only can see it if I view the "Mail source", it is normally suppressed on my mail system (Lotus Notes) (Given all the user stuff that´s in the header, I think it´s OK that it is usually suppressed!) However, I learned one other thing when looking at these links and checking the archives there, it is obviously NOT a good idea to use reply to some arbitrary message and edit away all visible stuff to quickly start a new thread, there is so much other unvisible stuff retained that the message will end up attributed to that original thread! Sorry for any confusion this might have caused in the past I promise to not do it again..... However, I have always received these messages in digest form (by choice) rather than as individual messages. I rechecked my last digest and can not find the reference to the archive that you were kind enough to paste in to your reply. It looks like the archive link is not actually in the body of the digests, and likely not in the individual emails either. Looking at the attached message you sent me it looks like it is in the email's headers, which by default my email reader (Windows Mail) strips out, so that they are never visible.
