Hi guys,
I used ImageJ for a few years, but have never developed macros or anything. I've only started learning to code now that I'm in graduate school. I used ImageJ to measure bug morphology; I took lengths of insect legs, measured the area of their body, etc;.
I am now starting a project where I want to look at mine morphology on Arabidopsis leaves. I've taken many leaf photos and my insects have burrowed mines of interesting shapes into them. I want to divide the leaf up into a grid to track if different populations build mines in different parts of the leaf.
I want to do this by making lines along the length of the leaf midrib (the central vein). I want a line with a small marker at thirds (right now, when you use the Line tool, there is a small marker that indicates where the halfway point is; I would REALLLY like to find a way to identify points at 1/3ds instead of 1/2s).
I would really really really appreciate any help on this. I'm at a bit of a standstill.
Thanks so much,
Kirsten Verster
