Great news, the dates have officially been announced this year on Mahashivratri!
Yamunotri and Gangotri will open on April 19, 2026 on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Kedarnath will open on April 22, 2026 at 8:00 AM, and Badrinath will follow the very next day on April 23, 2026.
One important thing: the Kedarnath temple remains closed from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily and Badrinath stays closed between 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. So plan your darshan timing accordingly once you reach.
Also do not forget that online registration on the official Uttarakhand government portal is mandatory this year. Slots fill up really fast especially in May so register as soon as possible.
