Whole Map Approach Vs ROI Approach

Hi there,

I have been trying to study the OrientationJ in ImageJ and I want to do Whole Map Approach. I am able to do the ROI Approach but I have this whole list of ROI and not able to understand what Whole Map Approach is and how to do.

Please help.
