a plugin/macro for placing an xy coordinate grid over an image

hello all.

i have been using image j, and reading the archives but this is my first
entry to the listserv.
does anyone know if such a plugin exists. preferably with the center
of the image as the origin.  something along the lines of the macro, 'Grid'.
any help would be appreciated.
