add slices to create one image

Hi to everyone,

I have a stack of DICOM images/slices and I want to do is add a certain number of images/slices together so as to create one final image but I don't know if this can be done or not.

It would be much appreciated if someone could help me.

if you by “add a certain number of images/slices together” mean to sum
the pixel values along the stack to produce a “sum image” this can be
done with the Image > Stacks > Z Project … command. There you can choose
from a number of projections like mean, min, max or sum and choose a
range of slices to be used for the projection.

At least in my installation (Fiji with ImageJ 1.47f) there is also a
button labeld “Stk” in the toolbar for a quicker access to the stack
tools.
