adding searchable text(keywords) to an image

Does anyone know a plugin that can add searchable text (keywords) inside
the tag of a tif or jpeg file?

What I like to do is to create a web album of a series of TEM images
with enhanced searchability (ie, one can search any added keywords,
beside the file name.)
