Hi everyone!
Does anyone know how to measure the average thickness of an irregular-shaped object such as the one in the attachment?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Joaquim,
You can use the "local thickness" plugin to fill the white space with
respective thicknesses, then threshold all of it and measure the mean
thickness. The plugin is built into FIJI, or download from:
http://www.optinav.com/imagej.html
The stripe has a mean of 32.14 pixels. See the plugin documentation for
details.
cheers,
