The autofocus function of our microscope creates bleached rectangular subregions in our images. For manual correction we record with 16-bit image depth and use Photoshop for manual selection and adjustment of the histogram of just the respective subregion. Works fine, but is time consuming. Is there a good imagej-tool to automate this step?
