After converting to 8 bit crop ,wand, and so on i get an picture of 640 x 49 pixels with a rectangular ROI. in set measurements i like to see the x,y coordinates of the bounded rectangle.
In the output table I get as result :
Area Perim. bx by Width height
1 14014 0 0 0 49 286
:) of course the width must be 286 and the height 49 :) maybe it's not such a big deal but it reminds me of : be careful and always verify your analyzing results !
Maybe it's interesting for what I use imageJ : to measure the width of foil coming out an extruder, which varies slowly and depends of materials used and how long the machine runs, temperature, friction and so on, if anything changes...the width changes..
Now i have realtime results on my screen without the need of going back and forth and manually measure and then see "oh too big or too small" resulting in waste of materials and energy.
When this will work fine, then its time to transfer the results direct to the plc.
