We are manufacturing digital microscope cameras for about 15 years, the
ProgRes-line. Our customers ask for a driver for ImageJ. How can we get a driver for ProgRes-cameras? A lot of image analysis software packages offer native drivers for our cameras. Best regards Helga |
Is your camera providing for VfW, WDM or similar drivers?

We have a Software Development Kit which has a standard C-interface. We also have a Active X control and a Twain-Driver.

Dear Helga,
Having a TWAIN driver, the camera can be already accessed in ImageJ through a couple of TWAIN plugins, which involve the download of an external library. However, if your driver does not implement the capture without dialogs, the camera could not be used in an unsupervised way, i.e., without having to click on a button for capturing. If you are able to produce a standard Windows driver (i.e., to make the camera accessible to any video software on Windows), then the camera could be used in ImageJ for example through our plugin CivilCapture; however I do not have direct experience in creating windows drivers.
