Are there any ImageJ plugins avaialble to measure centre of gravity (say the
centre of a nucleus) and then measure distances between the centre of gravities of objects/particles (for example distance betwen centre of nucleus to certain foci in the nuclear vloume, and the distance between the centre of the nucleus and the surface of the nucleus). Thanksin advance for any help/suggestions. Hari Iyer JHU, Baltimore US |
You can try Sync Measure 3D. With Java 1.5.0_06 on XP, it works in ImageJ
1.34s and 1.35d; but not 1.35p, 1.35r, 1.37a, or 1.37d. With the latter group, the plugin will become unresponsive after double-clicking a selection for measurement. -- Pang (Wai Pang Chan, [hidden email], PAB A087, 206-685-1519) The Biology Imaging Facility (http://staff.washington.edu/wpchan/if/) On Mon, 17 Apr 2006, Hariharan Iyer wrote: > Are there any ImageJ plugins avaialble to measure centre of gravity (say the > centre of a nucleus) and then measure distances between the centre of > gravities of objects/particles (for example distance betwen centre of > nucleus to certain foci in the nuclear vloume, and the distance between the > centre of the nucleus and the surface of the nucleus). |

Hi,
Maybe you can use the SmartFish3D plugin, it was developed to study images from FISH-3D experiments, especially to detect foci and nucleus, and to compute intergenic distances and distances to the center of the nucleus. It was developed to work in 3D but should also work in 2D. You can download it at : http://www.snv.jussieu.fr/~wboudier/softs/fish3d.html If you have questions about this plugin, do not hesitate to contact me. In the past I opened Roi Manager and I drew a ROI,
Added Roi, Measure Roi, measurement results were added to Results window, drew another ROI, Added it, Measured, measurement results were added to Results window etc. But in version 1.37d I draw ROI, Add Roi, Measure Roi, measurement results are added to Results window, draw second ROI, Add it, Measure and I get window with message Save 1 measurements? I would like to draw and measure more ROI before saving the results. I appreciate any tips. Michal |
Is it ok with you to measure all your ROIs at once, by waiting until you're
finished adding all the ROIs to the ROI Manager, deselecting all, and then measuring? This should put all measurements in one results window. -Roberto >From: Michal Lijowski <[hidden email]> >Reply-To: ImageJ Interest Group <[hidden email]> >To: [hidden email] >Subject: Roi Manager question >Date: Tue, 18 Apr 2006 15:02:36 -0500 > >In the past I opened Roi Manager and I drew a ROI, >Added Roi, Measure Roi, measurement results were added to >Results window, drew another ROI, Added it, Measured, >measurement results were added to Results window etc. > >But in version 1.37d I draw ROI, Add Roi, Measure Roi, >measurement results are added to Results window, draw >second ROI, Add it, Measure and I get window with >message Save 1 measurements? > >I would like to draw and measure more ROI before saving the results. > >I appreciate any tips. > >Michal _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected? Hi,
this bug should be resolved in the new version of Sync_Windows, which is on the website, now. Actually the new version needs 1.37b or higher. The problem must have been some class-file incompatibility. At least I never saw it, when I compiled ImageJ and Sync_Windows with the same java compiler settings. Also check out the new versions of Image5D and the Spectral Unmixing plugins, which are now on the website! All the best, Joachim W. Chan schrieb: > You can try Sync Measure 3D. ImageJ displays the "Save n Measurements" dialog when you switch
between measuring areas and measuring distances, or vis versa. This can be a problem if you need to measure one area and one distance on each of 100 images. What you have to do is measure the 100 areas, save the results, then measure the 100 distances. I will try to find a better solution in a future version of ImageJ. -wayne On Apr 18, 2006, at 4:02 PM, Michal Lijowski wrote: > In the past I opened Roi Manager and I drew a ROI, > Added Roi, Measure Roi, measurement results were added to > Results window, drew another ROI, Added it, Measured, > measurement results were added to Results window etc. > > But in version 1.37d I draw ROI, Add Roi, Measure Roi, > measurement results are added to Results window, draw > second ROI, Add it, Measure and I get window with > message Save 1 measurements? > > I would like to draw and measure more ROI before saving the results. > > I appreciate any tips. > > Michal > |
