Paul,
You need to calibrate your images. This could be done in one of two
ways: (i) manually scale an image using Analyse - Set Scale, or, (ii) by
having Microscope_Scale plugin compiled with the calibration table for
your imaging system and running it for each image. Either of these
methods can be adapted into a macro. Also, if all images are at the same
scale, you could also use the Global option when scaling the first image
and the same scale will be applied to all images. AFAIK, the scaling
information gets saved with the image file only when saved after
scaling, in TIFF format.
