customized ImageJ

Surita Banwait
Hello,

Is there a way for me to save all of my personalized settings for ImageJ (i.e. plug-in, action bars, etc.) on a cd/dvd and be able to use that disk on different computers so that I can carry my settings wherever I go; or do I have to install the program on each computer and re customize each one?  I apologize for such a naïve question, I am completely new to this image analysis software.

Thanks,

-Surita

Hello Surita,
do you mean to start ImageJ from the disk? I think that wouldn't work,
since ImageJ will try to write into its installation folders (for
example the recently opened images).
A complete installation (including java) should  run from a USB-key,
although I haven't tried that yet.
If you only want to copy one customized installation from one machine to
another, copying the ImageJ folder and the links to start ImageJ works.
