difference between images : original versus image restored from text image

Jarek Grodek
hello
i experienced something strange and unexpectable for me, i thought.
i have an image, i save it as a text image. when i open again original
image and import text image (it resukts in 32 bit for restored text
image) and substract one from another....wow, i expected plane dark
field with brightness value eqaul 0 in every pixel. i checked this many
times and i don't understand what's going on. i work on text image in
excel and when i try to localize interesting parts of original image
according to coordinates and brightness value of single pixel i find
this same problem, brightness of original is not the same as on the text
image.

what can i do about it?

i'm using ImageJ 1.37a with Java 1.5.0_06 from WCIF

greetings,

Jarek

Oblique slices

Ahmed Khwaja
Hi,

Is it possible to get the oblique slices in ImageJ, perpendicular to any
custom axes in the human body. My CT slices are originally aligned at 0
degrees with respect to the human body transverse plane.

Thanks
Ahmed

I have had good results using the suite of plugins from Tony Parker:
