distance between each voxel and centroid of 3D object

Kotaro Hiraoka
Dear users,

Hi, I'm a new user of ImageJ.

I'm now trying to measure the mean of distance between each thresholded
voxel of a 3D object in stacked MRI images and the centroid of the object.
The 3D object is hollow and the number of thresholded voxels is about
400000.
I could determine the (x,y,z) of the centroid using plugin 'Object
Counter3D'.
However, I don't know what to do next.
Would you tell me how to complete the measurement? Is there a plugin
appropriate for the measurement?

Thank you very much in advance.

If there is a way to produce a 3D distance map, then you can apply that to a
3D "image" of just the centroids. I don't know if this can be produced
automatically. You may need to write a macro. Check the ImageJ lists of
macros and plugins for the distance transform, You might want to check the
FIJI wiki as well.

The Local Thickness plugin on my site can produce the 3D distance map,
AKA EDT.
