editing macros while macros running

I just updated from 1.38 to 1.42 and now 1.43m running on Vista.

I used to be able to keep the macro window in front and edit the text
while macros were running.  Now I cannot.

Is there a way to change this?  I'd like to be able to edit macros
while others are running.

A clarification.  I think the command that is now disabling the macro
text window is "selectImage()".
