I am working with a 3D data and I am using the 'Extended depth of field' plug in to get an image of the surface of my sample. The output is a height map, a 2D image in which in each pixel (x,y) the intensity represents the height (derived from the z plane). I wanted to ask if it is possible to convert the 2D height map to a 3D surface mask. This is in order to use this mask and multiply the other channel with it.
Thank you
Gal
