forming new ROI ?

Chengxin Li
Hi,

We have heart slice Trichrome staining images. I can use ImageJ WAND trace tool to get the edges of outer and interior circular and adding to ROI. The interior circular is insider the outer circular, and interior circular is actually a cavity hole. The circular is irregular. To define risk area including scar, from supposed circular center, I draw two lines crossing two edges of  interior and outer circular. Those two lines can also be added to ROI. Now the two lines with the parts of two edges of ourter and interior cirlular form a new closed shape, called risk area.

Is there any possible to auto-measure the area of risk area, or how to let ImageJ intelligently  treat this risk area as new ROI ?

Alternatively, any possible to calculate the area of irregular circular sector with ImageJ ? When measuring and labeling outer circular, ImageJ gives supposed center. From the center, I draw two lines across two edges of circular, forming circular sector. Since ImageJ gives the angle of the line, thus we can get the angle of sector, too. Based on those conditions, if any solution to calculate irregular circular sector, it can solve my issue as well.

Currently I have to by hand trace around the risk area (two lines and two partial cirlular) and measure.

Thank you very much for your solution.
