imageJ watershed in Matlab

Good Day,

I was wondering if anyone of the developers would be so kind to give me the Pseudocode that was used in building the watershed transform. If that is not possible, maybe there is a publication on it or something? I am trying to implement the code in Matlab but hasn’t had much luck so far (I already tried looking at the source code; the findmaxima function). I really like the watershed transform in imagej more than the one in matlab (or any other alternative for that matter) but for lots of reasons, I have to use matlab in my project.
