images not showing up in their right size

Hey everyone

I just downloaded FIJI on a windows 7 64-bit OS and i think the Java is updated to the current version. But I am still getting a problem with TIFD images (just a particular set of images) when I try to open them. The images open, but are magnified than what they look like in other image softwares. The magnification is not actual magnification as the zoom tool says that it's not zoomed in, but the images appear so. I have opened them in Photoshop and there they have the proper size, but in FIJI they do not. This problem is possibly unique to the FIJI installed in that computer since the images open up in their proper size when I open them in FIJI installed on my laptop. Any advice/suggestion s on why the images are not opening up in the proper size would be greatly appreciated.

Are both versions of Fiji up to date? You should certainly run Help>Update
Fiji on both installs and see if the problem persists.

If it still opens incorrectly, please submit a bug report and upload your
dataset using the guidelines on the Fiji wiki:
http://fiji.sc/Bug_reporting_best_practices

You can also run Edit>Options>ImageJ2 and toggle the SCIFIO option to see
if that changes how your images open. Please submit the bug report even if
that fixes your problem, as this is just a short-term workaround.

hi Mark,

thanks a lot for your suggestions. I did try both, but they didn't work. But i got the images to show up in their right size using FIJI lifeline version. I think there is some sort of glitch with the most recent version of FIJI and Windows 7, or at least on the PCs that I have tried to open these images in.

I will try and report it in the bug reporting site. Thanks again for your advice.
