It used to be possible to import tiff (hyper)stacks in ImageJ defined
with a single tiff header and a block of image data. It was only
necessary to define the layout of the hyperstack in the tiff image
description field. However, after a recent update of ImageJ this seems
not to work any longer.
I could not find any update concerning this topic in the release
notes. Was there an update that changed the definition of this single
header tiff file format or has it been deprecated?
The TiffReader on the open microscopy github still seems to check for
the layout in the image description.
