just starting out

Yomi Adegbaju
Hey,

I'm about
to start a research project and someone mentioned the 'Imagej'
programme in passing. I did some reading and decided to down-load it.
The only problem is that I’m not quite such how to use it. My
computer software knowledge is severely lacking and I would be very
grateful if anyone has some basic instructions to put me on the right
path.

Thank you so much for
your time

Hi Yomi,

The best advice I can offer is for you to have a look at the documentation provided: http://rsbweb.nih.gov/ij/docs/index.html

The User Guide is excellent and there are also some good tutorials and a few other manuals that people have written. There are a myriad of uses for the program so you need to decide what you want to use the program for, i.e. enhancement, analysis, etc. There is also some limited documentation through our website: http://www.fmhs.auckland.ac.nz/sms/biru/facilities/analysis_resources.aspx

Have fun.

Kind regards,

Jacqui
