keyboard shortcut for next Z slice in 3 channel hyperstack

Hey,

I have a 3 channel hyperstack, each channel has 21 Z's.  I would like to scroll through the Z's using the keyboard rather than using the mouse and slider.  The "next slice" keyboard shortcut ">" however scrolls through channels in the hyperstack rather than Z's.  Ideally i would like to be able to use the keyboard for scrolling through both channels and Z's.  Is this possible? channels already works with the < or > keys but i cant figure out how to assign a shortcut for scrolling Z's in a hyperstack.

Upgrade to ImageJ 1.42l or later and you will be able to scroll through
Z slices using ctrl+> and ctrl+<. Use alt+> and alt+< to scroll through
T frames. Using ctrl+left arrow and ctrl+right arrow will also scroll
through Z slices as long as there is no selection. If there is a
selection, you can use ctrl+shift+left arrow and ctrl+shift+right
arrow.

I tried ctrl and alt and shift in combination with < and >... but im using
v1.41... i will upgrade ASAP.

It seems to me that this shortcut (ctrl+< or >) doesn't work in macintosh.
Even the click on the small arrowhead beside the scroll bar doesn't work. I can only change the Z slice by dragging the scroll bar which is not very handy to use.
I am using ImageJ 1.41o, Java 1.6.0_07 under Mac OS X 10.5.6 .

The ctrl + < or > shortcuts work for me to change Z slices. Here are  
some shortcuts you can try:

     ctrl + left arrow or right arrow
     ctrl + scroll wheel
     space bar + left arrow or right arrow
     space bar + scroll wheel
     alt + < or > (if T=1)
     alt + left arrow or right arrow (if T=1)
     alt + scroll wheel (if T=1)

The ctrl + < or > shortcuts work for me to change Z slices. Here are

Just a guess (since I do not have a mac), maybe you (or your OS, or some other
program) assigned this key combination to another function.
Something similar happens in KDE if with the alt key is assigned (by default)
for moving windows (so I can't do alt-commands in IJ).
A solution is to I reassign the KDE modifier key from "alt" to the "meta"-key
(or windows key). Maybe macs have a similar setting somewhere?

In your orignial post you say you are using ImageJ v1.41o. Hyperstacks
shortcuts were added only recently, so you should probably upgrade to the
latest version of ImageJ and try again.

Thank you all for the replies.

It worked with alt+<> after upgrading the ImageJ.

(Actually I thought I was using the latest version, since I only paid attention to the last letter but not the number of the version. Then I realized that I was using 1.41o not 1.42o ......... Sorry for this stupid question).
