largest contiguous area
Hi there.
Say I have an image with "spots" of different sizes. Is there a plugin that will tell me the area of the largest contiguous area?

Re: largest contiguous area
Hello Willem,
just make a Particle Analysis in ImageJ to measure the area of all "spots":
http://rsbweb.nih.gov/ij/docs/guide/146-30.html
and then summarize the results in the Results Table to get the size of the largest particle (Max):

Or do you mean a direct neighbour analysis with the largest area? Then the max particle area of the Voronoi neighbours could be calculated for each particle.

Re: largest contiguous area
Hi there. Thanks for your answer . Makes complete sense. Should have thought of that but I'm always to hasty to post questions.
