It is probably simplest to use the imageJ VideoCaptureTool macro
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/macros/tools/VideoCaptureTool.txt which
works by using the Windows capture application VirtualDub,
automatically integrating a short video clip and opening it in ImageJ.
You can use other Windows applications such as StillCap (part of
AMCap) in a similar way - see
http://www.neutronoptics.com/vdubcap.html for a variation.
