manual tracking plugin

Hi,

I have a problem regarding the manual tracking plugin which I use to determine the direction of the particles moving either towards the reference point (-) or away from ref point (+).

The plugin seems to be determining this, based on the co-ordinates being diagonal not orthogonal. For instance, if the particle is moving in (+) direction, even a small upward change in Y-value gives directionality error as (-) direction.

Is there a way to work with this problem?
