mean and std-dev in 'Profile Plot'

hi,


the last month i'm trying to read up into imageJ and java. even tough i'm not making progress in this problem i have:

1) is it possible to show the mean and the standard-deviations of the graph showed in the 'Profile Plot' as 3 straight lines (mean / +std-dev / -std-dev) in the plot window?

so that someone can see in the plot where the graph is in or out of bounds.

2) moreover it would be great if the lines would be, let's say, slashed and coloured to have a better contrast to the graph.

but i would be more than happy if the first point could be implemented.
