measuring perimeter

I recently downloaded the latest MacOSX version of ImageJ to simply measure
perimeters of irregular objects (which is possible on my PC version).
However, the Mac version only gives Area, Min, Max, and Length (0) in the
Results box, but no perimeter! Has anyone else noticed this? What am I not
doing right?

What about Analyze>Set Measurements?
