missing Status Bar

Rainer M. Engel
Hey..

I noticed, that in the latest version of Fiji the Status Bar has been
occluded (maybe removed) by the "Click here to search" field.

This is a great feature, even only on the first glance...

What kind of status bar will be there in the future? I would recommend
to use the bottom line of the main Window of IJ/Fiji. If this is 2 or 3
pixels in height, this would be quite nice for a status bar mimic.

What are the plans on this?

Kind regards,
Rainer

Hi Rainer,

The status bar is still there.

You can control how the search bar appears via the "Search bar style" in
the Edit > Options > Search Bar... menu.

Glad it is useful!

To my knowledge, there are currently no plans to change the status bar any
further.

Curtis

Re: missing Status Bar

Rainer M. Engel
Hi Curtis,

that is good to know, but basically it is some sort of occlusion, at
least for me, since I did not manage to show both at the same time.

"Search bar style"
none = like before with a status bar shown in this UI-area
Mini = Search bar overlays area of former Statbar
Full = even more area but like "mini"

But it's OK to be able to switch.

Thank you for your reply.
