Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem with moving
selections in stacks. I am a new user of Image J (using version 1.43), so I
apologise if there is a simple solution, but I can't find a convenient one.
I have a series of images taken over time which I have converted to a stack.
There are several dots in the images which I want to select for analysis.
Some of the dots move very slightly over time, so what I want to do is
select all the dots in the first image of the stack, have these selections
appear on subsequent images in the stack, but then be able to move
individual selections as necessary in the subsequent images. I also want to
do this in a way that allows the selections to maintain their identity
throughout the images of the stack, so that the selection surrounding say,
dot 1, is recognised as the same selection in all images and I can analyse
intensity changes in that selection over time. However whenever I move a
selection, it moves to the new position in all images in the stack, and this
is not what I want, as then it does not align with the dot in all the
images.
I suppose I could solve this by converting the stack to separate images, but
I have 22 images in a stack and I think it would get confusing with 22
windows open. I also think then that analysing each selection over time
would be harder, as I assume I would have to analyse its intensity in each
image separately.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Beth
