Good idea. Actually, Bio-Formats does support multi-position data, in the
form of multiple image series. When importing the data, you should get a
dialog box asking which of the fields/positions you wish to open, with each
field opening into its own image window. We have posted an example
multi-field dataset called MF-2CH-Z-T online at:
