Very basic question: Can I use ImageJ for 4D analysis? I ve been trying to
download NIH Image for my G5 Mac OS X but cant find the right version to
get it started for 4D data. Thanks in advance everyone and sorry but I am a
fresher!

Check out the Image5D plugin:
    http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/image5d.html

My lab has also produced a plugin for "quick" 4D dataset viewing:
http://www.loci.wisc.edu/4d/    (the "WiscScan Data Browser" plugin)

You could also try VisBio, since it has connectivity with ImageJ (you
can import your 4D dataset then send portions of it to ImageJ for analysis):
    http://www.loci.wisc.edu/visbio/

There are several other useful ImageJ plugins as well for visualizing in
3D (such as Volume Viewer) and for handling a large number of images
(Virtual Stack Opener).
