Blackshear, Joseph L., M.D.
Hello All,
Rather than use the "plot lanes" function, I have curves generated from
in-gel infrared scanning - example below.  I am trying to define the
percent areas of each peak by dropping vertical lines up to peak 15
(going right to left) in this gel, and the area from the start of peak
16 to the end. I can't seem to get the program to ignore the black
horizontal lines, and when I use the vertical line tool, it erases after
each individual attempt.
I would love some help!
JB

I just ran the FFT Bandpass filter, set with an upper filter of 20 (the
number of pixels between lines, and a lower of 0, and checked "delete
horizontal stripes".  I then adjusted brightness and contrast, and ended up
with the enclosed:  (Sorry if the image doesn't transfer).  I haven't tried
to measure the peak areas, though.  There may be some glitches.
