noise reduction via statistical pixel averaging

Terry Shippee
If "noise" is generally a positive component of a frame averaged pixel value, In a 10 frame averaged image is there a plugin that would allow me to dynamically ( or post process individual frames) average out the the top 5 values for all pixels, and average the remaining 5 values in the entire array.  For data acquisition of industrial micro-focus cone beam CT reconstruction. using a Varian 2520 panel.

Thank you

Hi,
I cannot quite understand this: if the frame image is already averaged, how
can we know which 10 values generated that pixel value?

Maybe you have a 10 slices stack of the same field and want to average the top
5 values and the 5 bottom values for a particular position? If so, I do not
think there is a plugin that does this.
You could do min, max, median and average via the z projection of the stack,
but I do not think this is what you want.

Cheers

Gabriel
