Thanks for the tip; it improved the speed of ImageJ on our Linux machine by
about 35%!
Btw, do does any1 know of an easy way to use both processors in a dual
processor system without having to make the macro multithreading or
something like that (don't have much experience on this part).

On the Sun-website you can find a JRE for AMD64. It solves some issues
with memory limitations in ImageJ.
