I'm trying to create a personal update site, following the directions at:
https://imagej.net/How_to_set_up_and_populate_an_update_site <https://imagej.net/How_to_set_up_and_populate_an_update_site> When I get to the "Personal update site setup" dialog, it allows me to enter an ImageJ Wiki account (but nothing else). When I click OK - it says "please provide Real Name and Email. When I do that - it says "There was a problem creating the user account!" What do I do next? -- Kenneth Sloan [hidden email] Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others. -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |
Kenneth -
Can you try re-initializing your password manually here: https://imagej.net/Special:ChangeUploadPassword <https://imagej.net/Special:ChangeUploadPassword> ?? Maybe that will do the trick… Ellen ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ellen T.A. That seems to have worked.
Extra info: when it failed, the Console window said "permission denied". When I used the page you sent, it appears that part of the account creation had been done. For example, it auto-filled my "real name". On the original dialog, only the first box was active, at first. Then, it asked for real name and email address - but left the password box greyed out. I filled in what I could, and got stopped by "permission denied". Trying to push through the rest now.. Thank you very much for the prompt reply. -- Kenneth Sloan [hidden email] Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others. -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |
Dear Kenneth,

I don't think it was the server that recorded your previously filled data but rather your browser.
