Yoav,
Your file contains 4 planes. That's like a CMYK file, or an RGB file
with an extra alpha plane, just like the error message states.
ImageJ only handle tristimulus images: 3 planes.
When you save your file from your software, don't save it as CMYK,
and don't save it with an alpha channel. You didn't say what
software you are using, so I can't be more specific. One thing you
could do is to save it as something other than TIFF and see if the
file is forced into 3 planes.
