run .bat file from macro

Please can someone help me with this (hopefully) simple problem...

How can I run a windows .bat file from a macro?

There was a similar question asked in November 2010 [http://imagej.1557.x6.nabble.com/Run-dos-batch-file-from-macro-td3686469.html] but I'm still struggling.

Please can someone provide the exact command required (if indeed it is possible).
