spatial distribution of particles

Hello Image J heroes,

I'm trying to use image J to produce a spatial distribution of particle (something similar to the attached picture) does anyone have any suggestions?

regards,

Emily

It is possible. Do you know the locations as compared to the centre point ? or do you have some parameters which define the position of the points.

Thanks for the reply. I have now attached my image, i have scaled it and cleaned it up.

I do not have parameters for the position of the points. however I can locate a nominal centre of the distribution (huzzah!).

I inverted the image, used Analyse > set measurment to measure "Centre of Mass" and then Ctrl-M

the effective centre of the dispersion is (119.9 mm, 80.2mm).

I'm thinking a long way of doing it would be to measure the area of particles contained in incrementally larger circles centreed on the origin and then plot, however a quicker way would be appreciated.

Any suggestions?
