stack equalization

I have a stack of images with similar very histogram profiles, but because of the camera varying slightly in exposures, they are shifted slightly left or right.  As a result, when played as a series, there is an annoying flicker.  I was trying to use the Process/Enhance contrast command to set all the histograms the same to remove the flicker, but no settings I tried generated a series of images that did not flicker due to different histograms.  What is the best way to do this?  Thanks- Dave

Hi David,

If you use Fiji, you can try the Bleach Correction plugin which has three
different methods to compensate for variations along a time-lapse:
http://fiji.sc/Bleach_Correction
The last method (Histogram matching) seems to be quite refined.
