Hi Nikos,
If your zvi files are numbered sequentially, you can check the "Group files
with similar names" checkbox in the Bio-Formats Importer plugin options to
read them in all at once as a stack. Otherwise, after reading them in
individually, you can use the Image > Stacks > Images to Stacks command to
convert all the standalone image planes into a single image stack. Depending
on the organization of your data other plugins might be useful too such as
the Concatenator, Stack Combiner or other stack-related plugin from <
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/#stacks>.
