starting Fiji by double-clicking an image file (Mac)

Kenneth Sloan
When Fiji is NOT running, double-clicking on an image file will cause
Fiji to start up - but does not load the image.

When Fiji IS running, double-clicking on an image file opens the image.

So…at present, I find myself double-clicking on the image file…waiting
for Fiji to fire up…and then double-clicking on the image file again.

Most of the time, lately, I’ve been selecting a NUMBER of images to open
at once (if this makes a difference).

Is this the intended behavior?  or, a bug?

Mac OS X, 10.9.2

Hi Kenneth
I can't be much help.
Mine works fine on a PC, I think I had trouble with my Mac, so have not
tried it again. Not tried on Mavericks either way.

It’s easy enough to work around - but feels like a “bug”.

I thought someone might be interested in fixing it.

If you keep Fiji running all the time, it’s no problem, at all.

Hi Ken,

Definitely a bug. Same behavior on my Mavericks system.

Interested? Absolutely. But absolutely no way I would have time to
investigate it before June, unfortunately. Feel free to file an issue on
GitHub (https://github.com/fiji/fiji/issues) if you want to make sure it's
not forgotten.

Indeed.
