stitching

Braekevelt Martin
Dear all,

I am looking for a stitching plugin for horizontal stitching of imageswith overlap for limited amount of images (<10).
Can someone tell me where I can find a simple plugin for doing this ?

Thanks in advance,
Kindest regards,

Martin.

Martin,

If I understand you request either the pre-packaged Grid/Collection stitching plugin (https://imagej.net/Grid/Collection_Stitching_Plugin) or MIST (https://pages.nist.gov/MIST/) should work. Alternatively, if you are looking to manually place the images TrakEM2 is able to do that (https://imagej.net/TrakEM2). The rest of this email assumes you are looking for automatic image registration as opposed to manual image registration.

For both Grid/Collection and MIST stitching you should be able to setup the parameters to represent an image grid which is only a single tile tall.

The Grid/Collection stitching should by default be available under: Fiji > Plugins > Stitching > Grid/Collection stitching.

MIST requires you to open up the Fiji updater open the "Manage update sites" and check the relevant "MIST" box to add it to your installation of Fiji. Then it will reside in the Plugins menu under: : Fiji > Plugins > Stitching > MIST.

Documentation and Tutorials:
Grid/Collection Stitching -  https://imagej.net/Grid/Collection_Stitching_Plugin
MIST - https://github.com/usnistgov/MIST/wiki

Hope that helps get you started.

Hi Martin,

The Fiji Stitching plugins include the "Pairwise Stitching" which is nice
for manually joining two images at a time. You can use it iteratively to
stitch up small numbers of images.
