I assume you are using the ij-dcraw plugin. Can you provide some more
details?
Are you loading images as 8 bit? If you are loading as 16 bit images may
look "strange".
What is the Canon camera model that acquired the images. If is one of
the new cameras you may need to update dcraw.exe to newer one that
supports you camera model. I may update release at
http://ij-plugins.sf.net to newest dcraw.exe in a couple of days.
