Emmanuel,

I have recently used the tutorial quoted by Neil to explore ImageJ plugins
in Eclipse, and agree this works very well, especially because of the
detailed help Eclipse gives on what is happening in your code. However, the
script editor in Fiji which Johannes Schindelin mentions also looks very
helpful.

Hi

To execute code one line at a time, one probably needs to use a debugger.
IMHO the best way to do this is to download Eclipse for Java
developers<http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-develo
pers/heliossr2> and follow one of the Image-J/Eclipse tutorials on the Wiki
(perhaps try this
one<http://imagejdocu.tudor.lu/doku.php?id=howto:plugins:the_imagej_eclipse_
howto>). If you've not used an IDE like Eclipse before, the help feature has
some good tutorials.

Subject: An editor where one can execute blocs of code?

Hi All,

I was wondering if there is a way to work on some imageJ code with
another editor than the text window? I have seen and installed the IJ
editor, but it seems not to have the functionalities I was searching
for, i.e., execute a line or bloc of code for example. Maybe I missed
something.

Thanks for any information.

Emmanuel
