No need to build it I think, and even if you did, I don tthink it has aGUI, so you would not really be able to use it.

Instead, get Image Surfer

which clarity is incorporated into

but its windows only as far as i can see...

you would need to write your own GUI for it.

I think you are probably not on a track that will pay off here.

DeconvolutionLab imageJ plugin from BIG at epfl in Laussanne should do everything that you need.
