Measuring Size

I am interested in using ImageJ for analyzing the size of  
nanoparticles in a TEM image.  I would like to measure the scale bar  
which is a certain amount of pixels.  I would like to use threshold to  
highlight all of the particles in an image and obtain the size  
distribution data based on the number of pixels and the corresponding  
histogram.  I would really appreciate it to know how to do this in  
ImageJ.
