Plot profile of color image

I would like to generate a Plot Profile of the same line in the two channels of a red/green image pair.  Is there an easy way to do that?  Plot Profile gives a plot of a composite or RGB image, but it doesn't appear to split the channel data, so I don't know what it is plotting.  Thanks- Dave
